TEN months part deux

This just in .. Jack is TEN months!
And in other news his mom is a picture posting procrastinator.

Presenting the most adorable 10 month old in the universe and his boy Tad:

The monthly birthday photo shoot (Jack calls it his photo shoot. He makes me hire hair and makeup people and order in lunch.) isn't quite as easy as it used to be now that little G is constantly on the move.

Exhibit A:

Exhibit B:

Note how I skillfully catch Jack with one hand while continuing to snap pictures with the other. I'm a good mama!

***Please note that no babies were harmed in the making of the 10 month birthday picture***

Our little guppie!

To say that the first day of swim class was a success would be a serious understatement. Jack loved it. LOVED it. Not one tear was shed from the time we put on his swim suit to the time we exited the pool. He laughed. He splashed. He perfected his backstroke. Okay so maybe not so much that last one but he came pretty close. We'll work on that further next week.

I'd seriously consider booking your tickets for the Summer Olympics 2020 now.

Before class. Check out Jack's stylish suit. All the swim class honeys were totally checking him out.

In the pool with DaDa (who also did not shed a tear during class.)

Swimming on his belly

And on his back

First clapping and now this. Is there no end to this child's talents?

NINE MONTHS!

Right now you are thinking that this picture is one month late, right? Well, Mr./Mrs./Ms. smarty pants, if you start counting Jack's age at conception rather then at birth then he is actually 19 months old as of this past Thursday. So we are actually 10 months early with this picture. Or something like that.

TEN months!??!??!

Unfortunately no 10 month picture yet. And as I have recently been made aware - no 9 month picture either! In my defense I TOOK the 9 month picture I just didn't POST the 9 month picture.

Jack being on the move leaves a bit less time for updating the blog. It leaves a bit less time for everything actually. I've gone from constantly trying to train him to crawl to constantly trying to train him to sit still. Funny how that works, ain't it? We're adjusting well tho so hopefully I'll be back in full blogging swing again here soon.

Which leads me to ..... an update on the Wooooooorld of Jaaaaaaack:

**Jack is now crawling like it's his job. He is so.fast.
**Jack can pull up to standing now all by himself and does so constantly. He pulls himself up on the couch .. the ottoman .. the TV console table ... and on mama and dada if we stand around too long! Every morning when I go in his room he's standing up in his crib waiting for me. It is the cutest ever. Must get a pic for the next post. (I can hear all the "I won't hold my breath" comments. Not nice. Not nice at all!).
**Jack "Cruises" (that is mama speak for walking while holding on to something) all along the sectional couch. That means walking unassisted is just around the corner. Send help. Please.
**Jack now says "DaDa", "WaWa", "BaBa" and as of yesterday morning "NaNa".
Notice anything missing from that list?
Anything?
MAMA. I swear I think he's doing this on purpose.
**Jack LOVES TiVo. He thinks it is the funniest thing ever. Every time I turn on the TV and go to "List" Jack just cracks up. When I scroll thru the list he laughs even harder. This in turn makes me laugh which in turn makes him laugh even more. Keeps us both entertained for hours. I swear - 5 years ago if you told me this is how I'd be spending Friday nights in the future I'd have told you that you were insane. Now I can't imagine a better way to spend any night.
**Jack had his first week away from Mama and Dada in the beginning of March. We went to Aruba and Jack stayed with his Mima and PopPop. He had SUCH a blast. As did we but we missed him terribly. As for Jack missing us - well - I believe he was just having entirely too much fun to miss anyone. I'm pretty sure Jack gave me the "YOU again!?!?!" look when we came home. Guess that just means we need to go on more vacations.
**Jack now has 2 teeth that are fully in on the bottom and 1 "phantom tooth" that apparently appeared while we were on vacation in Aruba but also apparently disappeared before we got home.
**Jack is now eating REAL people food! Not that the food he was eating before wasn't made for real people -- but -- you know what I mean. So far he has had carrots, macaroni, toast, english muffins, hummus, ham, and chicken. One chicken nugget for Jack, one for mommy. Love it! Can't wait to start taking him out to eat and actually ordering off the menu for him:
"Um yes we're ready to order - I'll take the filet and for the baby, the lobster tail. No no - make that twin lobster tails."

Okay like I said no 10 month pic taken yet (will get it tonight tho) but I do have a little something for you. I took these a while ago and thought "I'm keeping these in my pocket for a rainy day in blog-land". Just when you think I'm never going to post again I come back and hit you with something like this. Get ready for BATH IN THE SINK pictures!!!!!

He's gonna kill me for those one day! :)
