Our morning

This morning we were all verrrrry lazzzzzy. We slept in (Kate woke up at 9:45!) then took to playing "movie theater" in Jack's room. There were a TON of us there which made seating a bit of an issue, and there was an incident involving someone cutting in line for the imaginary popcorn (who knew stuffed cats could be SO rude?), but all in all a good time was had by all.

Back Row: Jack, Pengy, Macaroni (but all his friends call him Mac), Elizabeth Taylor (no, seriously. It's Kate's bunny but Jack named her. Elizabeth b/c it's Kate's middle name and Taylor b/c that is the name of one of the older neighborhood girls that Jack loves), Kate
Middle Row: Horsey, Oinky, Cowey
Front Row: Prudence (the dog) and Tabby (the rude popcorn line cutting cat)

I LOVE mornings like these. They are the very best mornings ever.

2 month check-up.

A couple of weeks ago (Yes I'm slow. TWO kids, you know!) Miss Kate had her 2 month well baby visit. And it was determined that she is, indeed, a very well baby.

Weight - 12lbs 12oz
Height - 23 and 1/2 inches
Head Circumference - I don't remember

Basically she was in the 95th percentile for both weight and height and in the 40th percentile for head circumference. At first I was worried that she was an abnormally large baby with an abnormally small head but apparently this is all very normal. I'd have loved her the same even if she was an abnormally large baby with an abnormally small head. That is what motherhood is all about, people.

Here is our princess during weigh-in. If you look closely at the blue paper underneath her you will see she peed on the scale! Jack laughed so hard when I told him that. I laughed so hard whilst she was doing it.

Waiting for the doc ...

Doc came in. Yada yada. Most beautiful healthiest baby he's ever seen (or something like that). Yada yada. Then it was time for the shots. FOUR shots. Here is the before ..

Annnnd the after.

Poor lil princess. She wears her battle scars like a badge of honor!

Jack did not go with us to this appointment - but he did give Kate a pep talk re: the shots before we left for the doctors office. He was all "Don't worry Katy-bug (he calls her Katy-bug) it will only hurt for a minute! You can DO this!". So.very.cute. After the appointment Kate picked out a sticker for herself for being brave, and one for her brother for helping her to be brave.

Thoughtful little one, that Katy-bug!

Here is hoping there will be NO shots at the 4 month appointment!!

(Pssst - there will totally be shots. Don't tell Kate!)

Happy Father's Day

From our house to yours, a very Happy Father's Day!

OH how these two love each other. And oh how their daddy and I love them.

Ps: Jack and Kate told me to tell you they said "Our dad is better then your dad.". I tried to tell him that wasn't nice but they just didn't want to hear it. In Jack and Kate's defense, their dad really is insanely awesome.

TWO months

I am on the ball tonight! KGif Jr and Tad at 2 months ...

You are not at all bothered by the fact that I cut off part of the "2" sign b/c you are way too distracted by her smiling face, right? RIGHT?

HOW cute is her little outfit? Wanna know the cutest part of her little outfit? Prepare to die of cuteness overload. Seriously - get your affairs in order and prepare.to.DIE......

Are you dying? My apologies to your loved ones.

FIVE years

We interrupt your regularly scheduled blog programming to bring you the 5 year Jack and Tad picture. You totally thought I forgot didn't you? DIDN'T you?

Well I didn't.

Here they are ...

Wait .. wait ... WHAT?!?!? When? HOW? HOW did my baby get so big? Just yesterday he was turning one. Just yesterday. See?

On Monday we have Kindergarten orientation. I said KIND.ER.GART.EN. As in real school .. all day school .... ride the bus and eat lunch in the cafeteria SCHOOL.

When?! HOW!?

Please tell me it slows down after this. Please. Even if it doesn't - just tell me it does.
