Happy Halloween!!!

He doesn't even need to use the extinguisher (which I made. By hand. Without a pattern or anything!)... he simply sqashes the fire with cuteness!

Don't shoot!!!

Mima recently introduced young JGif to Bambi (The book, not the movie. The book is always better then the movie). It's some new fangled modern version that has Bambi's mother alive and well at the end of the story. Jack now refers to me as "Bambi's Mother". As in "Bambi's Mother, can we get Old McDonalds for dinner tonight?" and "Bambi's Mother, can I please sleep in your bed?" and "Bambi's Mother, I thought you said you wern't supposed to drink beer when you're pregnant!".

KIDDING! I'm kidding about that last one. Come on people, you all know that I'd neva eva drink beer when pregnant!

Now wine .... that's another story.

Just kidding.

Kind of.

Jack in full on Bambi character.

He totally had you believing that he was a deer there, didn't he?

'Scuse please. Must go clear off a spot on the mantle for his Oscar/Emmy/Golden Globe.

Happy Birthday Evan!!!

So I was looking through files on my computer the other day and came across some pictures from cousin Evan's recent birthday par-TAY! And by "recent" I mean "January 2009". Oops. I seriously considered waiting until Evan's next birthday and then hitting you with a double whammy post of birthday fun - but then thought better of it. I simply don't think you could handle that big of a dose of celabratory cuteness.

So this year Ev's birthday was held at some restaurant somewhere in Philadelphia (GO PHILLIES!). Come on now - I can hardly remember what I had for breakfast these days much less the specifics of an event that took place a little over nine months ago. Details are highly overrated in my book anyway. By the way, have you read my book? Probabally not since it exists only in my head. If you somehow manage to get your hands on a telekinetic copy - do take time to read it. I have theories that would BLOW.your.mind.

Now where was I? Ahhh yes .... the par-TAY. Where shall we begin? How about cake? You can never go wrong when you lead with cake. (That's actually my official catch-phrase. Yes I have an official catchprase. It's in my book)

The before ...

The during ...

The after ...

There was live entertainment ...

And a surprise guest!

(Check out who is hiding behind the glass behind and to the right of Elmo. JGif = not a big fan of big red hairy creatures with giant sized eyeballs.)

Mima and Evan LOVED Elmo ...

Avery LOVED Elmo ...

Michael Michael LOVED Elmo ...

Jack LOVED Elm.... um ... not so much.

Elmo brought down the house with a game of parachute ...

A little limbo...

And a birthday boy booster seat dance ...

There were also Bendaroos to play with which the kept the kids occupied forevahhh! If you have young children RUN don't walk to your nearest "As Seen on TV" store (LOVE that place) and buy some.
Aunt Brit gave some Bendaroo lessons ...

Elizabeth made a candle ...

This kid also made a candle ...

Jack made rocks ...

AND a moustache!

Is our boy talented or WHAT?!

And the party wrapped up with a little cousin-ly love. Hugs and smokes for all!
Awwww. Totally worth the 9+ month wait just to see that sweet hug/headlock, right?
Tonight, in honor of Evan's belated birthday post, I will eat cake. I suggest you do the same.

And the mother of the year award goes to ......

NOT me.

This morning me, Jack and a bunch of Jack's classmates are sitting outside of his classroom waiting for the teachers to open the doors and ...

Veronica's Mom: Good morning kids! Is everyone ready for picture day!??!!

Me: It's PICTURE DAY?

%^&*(#$ !!!

Whatever. My boy don't need fancy clothes to make him look cute. He could go wearing a burlap sack and he'd still be the cutest one there.

(As if I'd actually buy him a burlap sack to wear! As if!)

(Unless Baby Gap started selling burlap sacks as the hot new toddler trend for Fall ... then I'd totally consider it.)

(I'll admit it - I'm a slave to the name brand.)

(I'm not quite sure what the deal is with all the parentheses.)

(Getting annoying, no?)

With that I bring you last weeks names of the week! Drumroll ......

Boy: Tanner
Girl: Princes Leia

Do you LOVE it???

PS: Jack says GO PHILLIES!
