No free milk in the Gifford house! Young JGif has already started doing chores. His to do list is as follows:
Pick up Belle's dinner dish and hand to Mama**
Put lid on trashcan
He does both chores everyday first thing when we come downstairs in the morning. Well second thing really as the first thing he does in the morning is always "chug-down-a-bottle-as-tho-he's-never-eaten-before-in-his-life". Yes that's right - I said bottle. At our last well child visit the doctor told me that I need to start taking the bottle away and putting his milk in a sippy cup. Tried it. Jack took one taste of milk from the sippy, stared at me as though I had laced it with arsenic, then threw said sippy on the floor and began to cry. He then got a bottle. Tried again a few days later. Same result but this time the sippy cup went flying across the room. He then got a bottle. The way I see it our little man simply isn't ready to give up the bottle. And Mama** isn't quite ready to give up her cuddle time she gets while Jack drinks his bottle. It's the only time the kid will sit still and just let me hug him.
Anyway I got Jack on video doing his pick up Belle's dinner dish chore. He really just loves doing it:

**NO the boy still won't say Mama. I have no doubt he is putting off saying it on purpose at this point. I also have no doubt that I am entirely too obsessed with getting him to say it.
Yesterday after his bath he was very cranky and trying to get away from me while I was drying him, putting lotion on him, putting on his jammies, etc. At one point he looks at me, points to the lotion bottle asking me to give it to him and says "Dada!". And I actually said ... to my 15 month old little boy ...
"No. I am Mama. MAMA! And if you don't start saying it soon then I am going to stop doing everything I do for you around here on a daily basis."
Ummm - oops. I swear he gave me the "Seems like somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed!" look. I then immediately apologized for getting snippy with him and handed him the lotion bottle.
