Lights .... Camera ... RIBBIT

Since Jack has not yet had the chance to meet his beautiful new cousin I thought I'd make a few little movie clips for Uncle Mike and Aunt Steph to show him to introduce us. I thought Jack and I could both say "hi!" ... tell Evan some things about our day ... Maybe do a song and dance number, etc.

Well, making movies with a one and a half year old doesn't always go exactly as planned.

This first one we filmed whilst coloring. I had just moved the lamp over to that corner of the room .. hence Jack saying "hi!" to the light rather then to Evan. There is one semi-good "Hi Evan!" on this one:

After coloring we had some nuggets for dinner. I was asking Jack about his day and he was actually answering my questions with proper answers. I'd ask what he did today and he said "Ya Ya and Po Pos!". I asked him if he had fun and he shouted "YEAH!". He grabbed a top hat, a cane and was all "Hello my baby hello my darling hello my ragtime gallllllll" So I run and grab the camera, set it up, and .... ribbit.

In this next one Jack could not say hello because he was way too busy insulting the gourmet meal of chicken nuggets that I slaved over the toaster oven for minutes to make. I did get one good "Bye Evan!" here.

I think it's safe to say that Jack G will not be receiving any Oscar nods this year.

PS: In case you don't get the top hat/cane/"ribbit" reference:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Evan Dennis Cronin (ne Ziggy)!!!!

Today at 10:59 a.m Jacks beautiful first cousin entered the world! His name is Evan Dennis Cronin and he weighs in at 8lbs 11oz. Sounds like he and Jack might be able to start their own football team! We have not seen him yet but Mima and Pop Pop were at the hospital for the birth and say he is just amazing and perfect and GORGEOUS! How could he not be, he's related to Jack after all!

Congratulations Steph and Mike on the birth of your first child. Welcome to the ride of your life. That baby has no idea how very lucky and blessed he is to have you two as his parents. Enjoy this special time while you can before the dreaded "Soooooo, when are you going to give Evan a brother/sister" questions start in.

And congratulations to us as well on becoming and Aunt/Uncle/Cousin for the first time! The G Unit is just proud and happy beyond all belief.

For your viewing pleasure ...

Wow WOW!!!

That was Jack's reaction every single time he saw the Christmas tree.

"Wow WOW!"

The "wows" were especially heartfelt first thing in the morning. I'd bring him downstairs when he woke up and he'd shout "Wow! WOWWWWWWWWWWW! Big tee. Hi tee!" and actually applaud. I just love this boy so much.

Here he is with his big tee.

In case you are wondering, yes those ARE cowboy boots he is wearing! Here is a better picture.

That is his "Tahhh DAH!" move. Cutest.child.EVER!!!!!!!

Famous last words ...

The first thought that came to mind when I let Jack walk around with a full bag of Goldfish that he found on the counter (which he can reach now all.by.HIMSELF. ) was:

"This isn't going to end well ....."

And end well it didn't!
At least it makes for good blogging.

The calm before the storm ...

I'm in the kitchen getting dinner ready and I hear "Uhhhhhhhhht Ohhhhhhhhh". Never a good thing. So first he starts grabbing handfuls of goldfish from the floor and eating them:

Then he takes to smashing them into the carpet with his adorable little hand:

Next he gets up and proceeds to go all "Michael Flatley, Lord of the Dance" on top of the goldfish:

And for the BIG finish he picks up a goldfish and tries to write on the wall with it.
PS: You can totally write on a wall using a goldfish.

Okay. I know I owe a LOT more pictures but I am still working on getting Christmas pics uploaded. I will try my VERY best to get that done tonight. Or tomorrow. Or definitely by this weekend.

You all will be way too busy attmepting to verify my claim about writing on the wall with goldfish to read the blog anyway!
